Welcome to the Spring Term

Welcome to the second half of the spring term at Swing Gate School. We hope you all had a fun half term.

Our theme this half term is 'Places'. The children are welcome to share their knowledge related to this theme as it engages their enthusiasm and develops their oracy skills. We love hearing their ideas!  Please see the home learning grid, below, for fun ways to engage your child with the topic at home. Don't forget the phonics learning sheets in their home learning books which review their learning every week - your support with phonics is much appreciated and really makes a difference.

The children continue to take part in daily reading practice sessions where they have the opportunity to develop reading skills as part of a group. Please aim to read with your child for ten minutes a day as this will have a huge impact on their progress.
