Our Coronavirus Response

Coronavirus: Keeping you Safe

Remember those days, before hand sanitiser and face coverings became a part of everyday life? We know this hasn’t been an easy time for anyone and our hearts go out to those who have been directly affected.

It is has been so heartening to see the children adapt so easily to our new ways of doing things. We have been working hard behind the scenes to keep our children, parents and staff safe, and to make sure each day is as active and inspiring as ever. In fact, we’ve rarely seen the children happier.

Here, you will find our Coronavirus risk assessment report, Outbreak Risk Assessment and some recommendation from the local government on how to help protect yourselves and your families. Any other coronavirus-related questions, please do speak to the office.

Stay safe.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Catch-Up Premium (Recovery Premium document coming shortly)

We have been fortunate to receive additional funding via the Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) Catch-Up Premium. We have been granted £11,200 for the academic year 2020-21. We are using this grant to fund additional one to one or small group teaching sessions across Reception to Year 2. These session are being run by in-house teaching staff. Teachers have assessed the children to find out their gaps in knowledge and are focussing on these initially.  They will be reassessing to measure the impact of the catch-up activities and define the next targets on an ongoing basis.  The catch-up interventions started after autumn half term and are scheduled for the remainder of the academic year. The full Catch-Up Premium spend is outlined here.

Whole class gaps in knowledge are being addressed by Wave 1 quality first teaching within the class.
