Road Safety

We are working towards a travel plan to promote active and safer travel. Information will be shared with the children and our school community throughout the year on how to keep safe when travelling to and from school.

We are very lucky to have our wonderful Road Crossing Patrol office affectionately known as 'Carole Lollipop' who has worked at Swing Gate for over 40 years.

Campaigns we will be supporting are 'Be Bright Be Seen'; 'Stop Means Stop'; 'Walk to School Week'; all working towards keeping our children safe.

Hertfordshire's 'Active and Safer Travel Team' will be also be visiting us to give talks to the children and complete a scoot ability course for Year 1 children.
