At Swing Gate Infant School and Nursery we embrace the spirit  of adventure. We have made it our mission to bring learning to life in a deeper, more engaging and active way. In fact, as trailblazers in Dacorum, we're proud to say that we invest time, money and energy in 'experiential learning', to create a lasting impact on our children's journey through education.

What 'experiential learning' means is more activities, experiences, and imaginative learning exercises for our children.

It's what gives our children confidence and character.

It's what keeps our teachers inspired.

It's what gives our school its personality.

How we learn    

Have a go - ask questions - making mistakes - these are some of the ways that children at Swing Gate School learn. We think the skills of learning are really important, just as important as what is being learnt. 

Children are encouraged to be independent, taking responsibility for their learning. We understand that each child is different in terms of ability, attitudes, interests and motivation.
